I went to check out a photoshoot for my internship of their spring 2014 collection, and I thought seeing a more behind the scenes approach of a typical shoot would be an interesting topic.
All Photos: ISO:400, Shutter:1/8, F-stop:5.6
Before the actual shooting begins, there is a lot of organizing. Even before prepping the model with makeup etc... all the clothes and shoes and makeup had to be set up in order to ensure a productive day. Because a surprising amount of time is spent looking for particular garments when everything is still in bags.
Once the model had all her makeup done and first outfit pulled together, they began shooting. I, being the newbie that I am, assumed that was it regarding primping.
I was mistaken, every time the model moved positions or left the stage set up (which was pretty often) they had to re fix the hair or touch up the makeup. Eventually they would get a shot that they liked.
Seeing the end product was really exciting, because at first glance it just looks like a good quality photo but having seeing everything that goes on off camera, you start to realize how much work actually goes into a photoshoot.
