Fur Season

It's that time of year again! Buyers from all over the world come to Toronto for NAFA's fur auction. These auctions happen three times a year - let the bidding begin.

The show runs for a week, allowing buyers a chance to look through the sample racks of each lot available before the auction begins. The warehouse is packed with thousands of fur samples ranging from mink, coyote, lynx, beaver, sable, etc.

Following the show, is the auction. Everyone bidding in the auction room is assigned a buyer number to which their purchases are transferred to. The days are long, often reaching 10 hours or over.

After the last day of the auction, everyone goes back home or to the next auction in Helsinki. Auctions all over the world happen for about half the year. Dates often change, but for now, we'll see everyone back at NAFA in May!
