How to Wear Colour

As many of you may know, Radiant Orchid is the colour of 2014, according to Pantone, which is a harmonic combination of purple, pink and a tint of fuchsia. However, pinks are not a typical colour that is worn by everyone, so here are some ways to add elements of the Colour of the Year into your everyday outfit.

This tinted purple wool coat adds a settle colour variation to the outfit. With its low saturation, it can be easily matched with colours such as neutrals, blue-purple, and red-purple.

With the tint of purple already in the outfit, a pop of pink can be easily added without going too far.  The saturated pink and tinted purple well balances eachother, but also creates a beautiful contrast with the layering of neutrals to emphasize the focal point of the entire look.
