Meet Justine Latour, a second year fashion design student at
Ryerson University’s School of Fashion. Below, you can see the young talent’s
latest designs. Inspired by China, her pant and jacket are heavily influenced
by the Terracotta Army. In both pieces she created paneling similar to that of
the soldiers’ army. Challenging herself technically, she chose to add exposed
zippers and use both sides of her printed textile. Justine’s overall suit
design includes a high waisted pant with a mandarin collar inspired waistband
and wide lapel jacket. Having sewn since she was six years old, Justine plans
to continue designing and developing her love for fashion.
