Like the peacock, a basketball player does not show his true colours until he's in the game. On the court the loudest and most vivacious shoes are coveted, allowing players to hop to new heights for the sake of the game. You don't normally see the average male sporting neon colours or maybe something a little shiny (unless you're on Church Street on Friday night) but it's clear that the sneaker culture is as important on the court as it is on the streets.
